{happenings}

Every time I think I'm going to get back on to blogging, life happens. But, that IS what I'm trying to blog about. Meh. Here is a small rundown, and a catch up in pictures:

(civil twilight lead singer Steven McKellar)

(yes. we were really this close. some of us were even closer....kristen....)

(Megan, Danielle, me, Kristen)

I went and saw Civil Twilight and A Silent Film with some of my girlfriends.
IT. WAS. AWESOME.
We had way too much fun (as usual). Can't wait to do it again!

(a small sampling of the Blue Angels we own)

Met up with the G* family at Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum. It was so fantastic! The boys loved all the planes, I was in awe at the magnum size of the Spruce Goose, and we all loved seeing a 3D IMAX movie about airplanes.

(Kyler was fascinated with the 3D - he kept trying to grab at the images)

(K2 and K3 in front of a small replica of the Spruce Goose)

(K1 and K2 in front of a Sarge (from CARS) look-a-like)

(me and the older Ks in front of a F/A-18 Hornet, which is the type of plane the Blue Angels fly)

Kayden (who is our resident aviation expert) was on cloud nine, especially when he was spoiled by his Aunt Jessie and Grandma and Grandpa with a plethora of Blue Angel replicas (I think our count is up to 18 Blue Angels). My favorite part was getting a tour of a B-17 Flying Fortress by a veteran who actually was part of a crew that flew one during WW2. I was in awe of the young men (most on his crew were 18-19) who so willingly left their families and risked their lives for me. It was incredible to hear about all they went through, and made me so grateful for all who have served my country.

Keegan and Kayden started swimming lessons, Keegan started baseball, Kyler continues to demolish anything he can get his hands on......

(don't let his face fool you. he's even cuter in person. and more trouble)

(painting some birdhouses)
Mom and Dad G* went to Hawaii for 2 weeks and we got to watch Riley while they were gone. It was fun, and we learned that Riley has a taste for taquitos....... Grandma and Grandpa brought back gifts for everyone, but I have yet to get a picture of the boys in their awesome Hawaiin outfits. We did get some macadamia nuts, which were turned into some (if I say so myself) delicious white chocolate macadamia cookies. YUM.

(soooooo yummy)

Kayden has turned into a Michael Jackson afficianado, and is always asking me to play some Michael Jackson songs that he can dance to - and his moves are sweeeeeeeeet. Thankfully, he has stayed away from MJ's signature move! (you know what I mean)

(wearing a sombrero and dancing in your skivvies is occasionally necessary)

All in all, life is good. We've had some sunny days, but nowhere NEAR enough for this time of year. I mean, April, and some mornings it has been 30 degrees?! INSANITY. we're ready for summer.......
