Hi there. My name is Jackie and I am a blog-slacker. Remember when I used to post regularly? I think that was about 5 months ago. I'm hoping that this cycle of laziness is just a subconscious reaction to the fact that 3 kids will allow me far too little 'lazy' time. (lazy time = me time) The oppressive heat doesn't help. For those of you who may be confused, I don't live in Arizona. I live in Oregon. Why is it that we are having a week of 100+ temps?! The heat wave has driven us to seek cooler climates - such as Grandma and Grandpa's air-conditioned house! The funny thing is, all my other siblings are out here too. That's the breaks when none of us have a/c! You can tell that Kayden isn't used to having such a cool room, he walks around Grandma's house saying 'coooold!!!' all the time!
So, I promise to post some top ten lists of June and July, just so I can remember what happened. But just know that we are alive, we are well, and we are staying out of the heat! oH, and for those of you wondering - I think my belly has doubled in size since that last picture. WHAT HAPPENED?! I don't know, but it looks like I swallowed a bowling ball all of a sudden. This baby had better come out bigger than 6lbs, because my tummy is at least a month ahead (size-wise) of where I was with either of the boys. AHHH!!

Say Hello To......
Baby Beattie #3!!!
Today we got our first good look at this little munchkin. I had an ultrasound early on in the pregnancy to rule out a miscarriage risk, since I have had a few in the past. This was our first chance to see our sweet babe since about 6 weeks! And at 6 weeks, they just don't look like much more than a little floating peanut - literally.
After some debate on changing our ways of previously not finding out the gender, we decided to stick with our original decisions, and once again will be waiting until the big day to find out whether the boys will get a little bro or a little sis. That 'big day' will be about Dec. 1st - I haven't picked the actual c-section day, but I can guarantee you it won't be before that. The weekend just before is Thanksgiving, and I ABSOLUTELY refuse to celebrate Thanksgiving in the hospital - ICK!!
So - halfway there! Keegan is excited and loved seeing the pictures of his little sibling. Kayden doesn't get it (as to be expected) and when asked if I have a baby in my tummy he says "No" in a very nonchalant tone. It cracks me up every time. But he does love to pray for Mommy and the baby and has started giving my tummy kisses if you ask him to 'kiss the baby.' We are so thankful for our wonderful little boys and can't wait to meet the next member of our family!
